Mint Wireless Limited (MNW) was incorporated in October 2006 to acquire the entire share capital of Mint (Aust) Pty Limited including its subsidiary, Mint Technology Pty Limited (previously known as Mint Trading Pty Limited).
The Mint Group comprises of two technology businesses, designed on platforms that takes advantage of our increasingly mobile lifestyle of corporate businesses and consumers.
The Mint Wireless Group owns:
- all intellectual property pertaining to the Mint Payment Solutions
- the exclusive distribution rights in Australia for the A-Data – with over $US1 billion in revenues and the third largest world-wide producer of Flash Memory digital media storage products
- the exclusive distribution rights in Australia and New Zealand for Aiptek – a leading global digital technology manufacturer of digital video cameras, pocket projectors, graphics tablets and digital photo frames.
- the exclusive distribution rights for in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines for Microvision- a world leader in the innovation of a new generation of display and imaging products (PicoP enabled pocket projector) for mobile applications.
- the intellectual property, trade mark and brand names Pico Life and STASH, under which it distributes a range of digital media – Digital video cameras, Power accessories, mobile and computing accessories, Flash memory, USB drives, Multi-chargers, Replacement camera/laptop/mobile phone batteries, and Bluetooth accessories.
The Mint Payment Solution was introduced into the Australian marketplace in 2006 and its mobile payment solution is now installed on a growing number of Nokia, BlackBerry and Microsoft Windows Mobile smartphones. The system was developed to facilitate payment transactions through the GPRS and 3G Telecommunications Data Network.
Additionally, Mint Technology has introduced an innovative range of audio visual, telecommunication and computing products to many of the fastest growing retail and corporate businesses in Australia and New Zealand
